Over 300 Apps!

2007-11-06 [News] By: rosskirby

After only 4+ months we have broken 300 Applications! We want to thank our users, because without them we would not have any apps!

250 Apps reached

2007-08-29 [News] By: alskdjfhklasdjf

iPhoneAppr is still growing thanks to the numerous apps submitted by YOU, our amazing users. Unfortunately, we've run into a few roadblocks with the promised custom homepages, but we promise we're working on it!

iPhoneAppr would also like to offer a hearty congrats to our lead programmer on the latest addition to his family! He's taking a week or two off to spend some time with his new baby boy, but we're eagerly awaiting his return (Hint, hint!).

Until then, keep an eye out for the apps that continue to stream in, and that custom homepage is coming...we promise!

We've added a new feature to the apps page. You can report the app if its link isn't working.
Thanks!

Suggestions and Future Implementations

2007-07-16 [News] By: alskdjfhklasdjf

Well. With all the digging, we've learned a few things. We've added a number of new apps, we've refined the iPhone interface, and we now have a few exciting new features planned.

One of the biggest requests we've received is for a customizable homepage. We're pleased to announce...it's in the works. Look for this awesome feature within the next few weeks.

We've also had a number of different requests for "adds" on the site. Simply click the submit tab on the right hand side of this page, go to the 'apps' page, or you can submit an app through this post :)

We're completely, 100% stoked that this site has had such a warm welcoming from the digg community, and we're looking forward to creating an amazing community of iPhone users.

Thanks again for all of your support!

Dugg...

2007-07-15 [News] By: alskdjfhklasdjf

We were just featured on the website Digg.com, and boy are we stoked!

So far we're staying afloat and handling the infamous "digg effect", but we'll see how we fare as time goes on!

It seems like most of the diggers are heading to our spiffy iPhone interface that we created for viewing our site on the iPhone, so be sure to check that out! If you'd like to support the site, simply go to digg.com and DiggIt!

Puzzler: Apple's guidelines for iPhone development

2007-07-15 [News] By: alskdjfhklasdjf

Apple has posted some sample code for an app called "Puzzler". It's a simple game that involves pairing 2 or more bubbles of matching colors until none remain.

Although the game lacks much of a purpose, it serves as a guideline app for developers coding for the iPhone. It's important to keep in mind that a mouse cursor doesn't equal a finger touch. Without context menus or the accuracy of a pixel-perfect cursor, games and apps must designed with...ahem...ALL finger sizes in mind.

For those of you without iPhones, you can check out the completely functional game through any ordinary browser.

Meebo works on the iPhone?

2007-07-03 [New App] By: Ross Kirby

According to CNET, meebo.com has been working to get their wonderful web based chat service to work on the iPhone. Since the iPhone does not have iChat or any sort of instant message service, meebo could be the ultimate solution to this problem. Source: http://reviews.cnet.com/8300-13549_7-30.html

Apple Posts Development Guidelines

2007-07-03 [News] By: Ross Kirby

"Developers can create Web 2.0 applications that look and behave just like the applications built into iPhone, and provide seamless integration with iPhone applications and services including making a phone call, sending an email, and displaying a location in Google Maps. Third-party applications created using web standards can extend iPhone's capabilities without compromising its reliability or security." http://developer.apple.com/iphone/
